During my tenure here at Heiman Fire, I have refurbished, serviced and repaired fire apparatus, their components , as well as fabricate Skid units, and Apparatus. This includes fabricating, painting, plumbing, as well as customer service and sales, and plant supervisor. With the growth of Heiman built products, I assumed the role of Inside Sales, writing Specification’s, and Customer Service, while continuing to oversee the Plant production and assisting with Outside sales, in which has led to my current role.
I have been working in the Fire Industry 30 plus years. I attended Southeast Tech for Auto/Diesel mechanics. A few years after, I accepted a position with a Fire Apparatus and Equipment Repair company in which serviced and repaired fire pumps and their related components. I worked in the plant, as well as traveled the Midwest states, working on fire trucks at fire stations. This included servicing, pump testing/re-certifications, valve repairs all the way to complete pump overhauls and complete Fire Truck Refurbishing. Eventually, the company expanded to manufacturing fire trucks, at which time I accepted the plant Supervisor position in which I overseen employees and I also fabricated, welded, painted, and assembled fire trucks during this time. As interest in our product grew, I accepted the role of selling fire trucks and purchasing, in which led to being the Sales Manager. I eventually took the challenge of starting my own Fire truck and Equipment and Repair company, in which led to the Merger with Heiman Fire.
I would have to say the People, both Employees and Customers. I also enjoy seeing the excitement and satisfaction the Fire Fighters have when they receive their new Apparatus. Also, the Family atmosphere that Heiman Fire has here with all the employees.
Lake Life, boating, UTV'ing, grilling out. Spending time with family and friends. My favorite sport is Auto Racing.
